What is it?

Apprenticeships are paid training programs that prepare you for a career in a specific trade. Our MidSouth Construction Careers Pre-Apprenticeship Program is designed as an apprenticeship readiness experience, helping you gain essential knowledge and skills to enter the workforce with confidence. Throughout the four-week course, you'll receive both classroom-based and on-site training in seven different trades:

  • Carpenters
  • Electricians
  • Iron Workers
  • Laborers
  • Operating Engineers
  • Painters
  • Plumbers
  • Sheet Metal Workers

Explore these trades and decide which one aligns best with your interests and career goals. Upon completing the program, you'll have a guaranteed interview for a full apprenticeship in your chosen field, setting you on the path to a rewarding and stable career.

What's in it for you?

Earn While You Learn

During the program, you’ll be paid between $12-14.50 per hour. Start earning as soon as you start classes.

Certifications That Matter

Graduates will be OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) certified and CPR certified, giving you the safety credentials that are essential in the construction industry.
